# Static Background

 * Your tutorials are great, but I can’t seem to figure out how to use a non-moving
   static background and have only a text or heading layer slide and fade. Is this
   possible?

   It can be achieved with the Slider background image feature which is available
   in the pro version only.
 * If you would have the Pro version, you should switch to Expert mode: [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/406-secondary-navigation-bar](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/406-secondary-navigation-bar)
   
   then head to the Slider settings > General tab and you’ll find the Slider background
