 * Hi, I’d like to create a static page in WordPress that is not visible on my blog
   but that folks can click off to. It would be an “about” page. Can I create a 
   page in WordPress to do this? How?

 * Not sure exactly what you mean, but I suppose you could put a link on index .
   php titled “about” that would take the viewer to about.html
