 * Hello,
    I have created dynamic and static web pages previously but not in WordPress
   where I am a newbie. Previously I understood that a dynamic page collected data
   from fields in a database e.g. phpmyadmin and a static page (.html) did not require
   any database as the information is built into the code.
 * After looking at a few of my Word Press practice efforts it does seem that what
   appears to be a static site in fact needs a phpmyadmin database.
 * Am I on the right track with my thoughts?
    Many thanks for your help Regards
   John

 * WordPress does not offer traditionally static pages.
 * All content is stored in the MySQL database and dynamically rendered as HTML
   by way of PHP.
 * To serve those satatically, you’ll need to set up caching: [https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/performance/optimization/#caching](https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/performance/optimization/#caching)
