    Hello,

I have seen the plug-in in action with a few websites on a VPS with over 50GB of images. This takes a lot of time and uses quite a lot of vCPU power. everything so far has been done through the wp-admin interface. My question is how much load would be reduced approx by using wp-cli.

    Hi @hielke86,

    Thank you for your message.

You can convert your images via Remote Server, so your server will not be burdened. You can activate this mode in the Advanced Settings tab, in the “Conversion method” field.

    Best,

@hielke86 I will add that converting using local PHP libraries (Gd or Imagick) cannot limit the server load. The image optimization process is demanding. That is why we recommend using a remote server.
