Statistics for modified posts

    Hi, how can I display post statistics for modified posts (same URL, same post ID, but updated date) over a longer period? The Jetpack plugin starts showing statistics from the (updated) publishing date only, but not its history before.

    I think it would be especially interesting to see how the modified content has impact on traffic. The only way I managed to do this, is temporarily backdating the post in order to display its full statistics.

    Can you elaborate on this a bit more, please?

    Do you mean, if you have the default WordPress post “Hello World” and then you update that a year after creating your site with some edits?

    The Jetpack plugin starts showing statistics from the (updated) publishing date only, but not its history before.

    The Jetpack stats will show all visits to a page since it was first published.

    For example, I have a contact page which I created in August 2016, and then made a large edit to in July 2018. On the stats view for that page, I can see all the viewer history going back to when the page was first published.

    Yes, that’s basically the case I refer to. But I would also set the date to July 2018 in order to reflect the new content.

    On the stats view for that page, I can see all the viewer history going back to when the page was first published.

    Now the viewer history is only going back to July 2018. How can I see the history starting from August 2016?

    Hmm, unless you have edited the page in such a way that Jetpack thinks the page was created at the large edit date, then the history should show.
