# Statistics toggle on by default

 * in the cookie banner, is there a way to set the toggle from Analytics and Statistics
   found in Preferences to on by default?

 * Please note that if you’re targeting regions that require you to obtain explicit
   consent for ‘non-functional’ cookies (and similar technologies), doing so would
   mean that you’re no longer asking users to **opt-in**, but that you’re instead
   asking them to **opt-out**.

 * If you decide that you want to do it regardless of this not being compliant, 
   the above article also contains an add-on plugin that you can install; which 
   will pre-enable the categories.
 * But I would once again like to reiterate that this is **not** compliant in regions
   where an **opt-in **is required.
