 * This was a pretty nifty feature until the author started begging for mony at
   the top of all out client sites. That kind of dark pattern, spamming and asking
   for money is just obnoxious.
 * If you would have made a premium version we would have bought a agency/developer
   license immediately but this has resultet in a loss of about 200 installs from
   our sites.
 * Make a premium version and stop begging!

 * What you call “begging for money” is an update notice which has the main purpose
   of telling the site admins I’ve added new features and invite them to review
   the settings to make sure the plugin works as expected. It’s programmed to be
   shown only in the backend and only to administrators.
    More than a million sites
   use my plugin and not even one of their managers has complained about this notice“
   on top of all our client sites”. I can’t be held responsible for poor coding
   or configuration of websites (how in the world you could have lost 200 installs
   when the notice, even if it’s not dismissed, goes away by simply deactivating
   or deleting the plugin?), and it’s not really a mature behaviour to leave a 1-
   star review without even bothering to write me on the forum or by e-mail to see
   if we can find out what’s happened and solve the issue.

 * Even if that is the case, that stuff belongs in the changelog and not cluttering
   up the admin interface.

 * It’s a simple notice you can dismiss with a click, like thousands of other plugins
   do.
    Learn to code instead of teaching others how to manage a plugin with more
   than a million satisfied users.

 * Hey Rasmus,
 * The developer is providing an excellent free plugin, if he’s asking for help,
   it’s not a big deal. I’ve happily donated in the past due to that notice. Do
   you realize these things take time?
 * You’re the real beggar, taking stuff for free and not appreciating the services.
 * Cheer up, buddy.

 * Hi Rasmus
 * I haven’t seen any “dark pattern, spamming or begging”, just a simple request
   for a VOLUNTARY contribution to help out in the continuing development of this
   plugin. There are so many other apps that do the same thing, so what’s the problem?
 * I don’t suppose you work for free, do you?
 * There is so much valuable contribution from WordPress plugin developers, that
   we must be grateful for all their work, and perhaps give a small amount to show
   our appreciation.
 * Thanks for this plugin, Lopo. it has really saved me a lot of time!

   thank you for your support and appreciation!
