 * Hi,
 * One of Wordfence’s features is that it forces updates on other plugins when there
   are security issues.
    Since this could break the site, I would like to disable
   this feature and only do only manual updates. How do I do that?
 * Thanks.

 * Hi [@michien](https://wordpress.org/support/users/michien/)
 * Wordfence does not force updates of other plugins.
 * I think you are referring to the WordPress plugin auto-update feature:

 * Hi [@wfphil](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wfphil/),
 * No, I mean when Wordfence forces updates.
    This usually happens when there’s
   a vulnerability in a plugin, like the case with WooCommerce a few months back
   and Elementor a few weeks ago.
 * In both cases, Wordfence pushed an updated once the plugins released a version
   that fixes the security issue they had.
 * I would like to be the one who updates the plugins with security problems. Is
   it possible?
 * Thanks,
    Michal

 * Hi [@michien](https://wordpress.org/support/users/michien/)
 * Thank you for the update but Wordfence never forces updates of any other plugins.
   Your hosting provider may possibly be responsible for that and updates vulnerable
   plugins via WP-CLI on the hosting server.
 * As you can see below in our documentation below, the scanner will only warn you
   if you are using a plugin with a known vulnerability, with a recommendation to
   update it:
