 * Hi, can someone tell me what it means when you get a Stop Running Script warning
   saying that continued use would make your computer unresponsive.
 * I’m getting this message with this site when viewing on Internet Explorer.
 * I’ve removed all plugins and checked with the host server.

 * Sounds like a bad plugin or theme. Have you tried:
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder and wp-
   config.php & root .htaccess files – from a **fresh** download of WordPress. Make
   sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new
   ones.

 * Great advice thank you. I’ve done your suggestions for the plugin and theme problems
   but the error is still there. I’m a bit nervous about your final suggestion re-
   uploading all files & folders etc – is there a step by step guide that I can 
   follow?

 * What makes you nervous about it? You are simply uploading a fresh set of WordPress
   core files. As long you stay away from the wp-content folder and wp-config.php&
   root .htaccess files, you’ll be fine.
