# Strike-through

 * Hi,
 * I am having a display problem in IE6. From a particular point all my posts and
   my sidebar have what looks like strike-through font. It looks fine in Firefox.
   Any ideas?
 * I only have acronym replacer and a breadcrumb plugin activated.
 * I searched for strike-through and looked at posts with IE6 in them but didn’t
   see anything.
 * Any help would be appreciated.

 * Looks fine now. Did you find the problem or maybe it just worked itself out. 
   If it still shows on your set, maybe dump your cache and reload the site.

 * Thanks for checking. I fixed it about 30 minutes ago. I saw something “extra”
   within the post. When I deleted it everything was fine.
 * I was not too smart and did not write down what the extra thing was but it looked
   something like (maybe):
 * <del date ….then a time stamp like thing>
 * It was inside the post when viewed in the editor. I’m pretty sure I never added
   anything like that.
 * Any ideas what it might have been?

 * You get a `<del datetime="...">` tag when you click the “del” quicktag (above
   the text box where you write your posts). And `<del>` typically looks the same
   as a `<strike>` tag. You may also have accidentally insert it by hitting CTRL-
   D on your keyboard; I do that all the time.

 * This is a lot like the problem I’m having. For some reason, suddenly I’m getting
   weird strikethroughs in my side bar and in the last post on the main page. I 
   can’t figure out why this is happening. I’ve deleted comments/posts that might
   be suspicious, but nothing’s helped. I even upgraded to the newest version of
   WP and changed the theme–still no luck. How can I figure out where the problem
   is if it is a bad post? What other things might be causing the problem? Thanks!
