 * Hi there,
 * I am working on a website with a lot content (text) inside widgets. I mainly
   use the tinyMCE Visual Editor widget to edit the content. I have been able to
   translate all strings without a problem going to Settings > Languages > String
   Translations. I write all my content in Dutch inside the widgets and then go
   here to create the English translation.
 * However, every time I make an adjustment to the Dutch content inside the widget,
   the English string translation is automatically replaced by the new Dutch content.
   I basically lose the English content (string translation) every time I adjust
   the Dutch content inside the widget.
 * Is there a way to ensure this doesn’t happen. Can I make adjustments to the Dutch
   content inside the widget without it wiping out the English translation I created?
 * My apologies if this has been asked/answered before. I searched for a similar
   post without success.

 * Hi!
 * This is expected. If you change the original string, the translation has to be
   updated. The way it works, you don’t really “translate the widget”, but a sentence.
   If you used the same sentence elsewhere, it would be automatically translated.
   This is the same when translating WordPress, the theme or plugins with po/mo
   files.

 * Thank you for the reply!
 * In most cases I just want to make a style change to the Dutch text. I may notice
   I accidentally ended a sentence with a comma instead of with a period, or I want
   to change a word, without need for the translation to be adjusted as well. Changing
   this makes me lose the entire English translation.
 * Maybe I do not completely understand your reply, but it seems to me that you
   should be able to update the Dutch content without losing all the English content.
   I totally understand that when I make adjustments to the Dutch content, the English
   content will likely have to be adjusted as well. I just feel like I shouldn’t
   have to redo the entire translation.
 * Again, I may not fully understand what you were trying to tell me with your reply.
   Am I correct in deducing from it that there is no way around losing the English
   string translation when adjusting the Dutch original content?
 * Thanks again for your answer. My apologies for not completely getting it…:D
