# Structured Data Location issue

 * Google’s search console reported a structured data problem this morning. I never
   use a location, almost all of my “events” are due dates for award program submissions
   or online events. as a result almost all of my events have a location [@type](https://wordpress.org/support/users/type/)
   of “VirtualLocation” but it is giving an error saying invalid object type (when
   you use rich results test)
 * i played around with google’s example for an online event ([https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/event](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/event))
   and if i take out the line:
 *     ```wp-block-code
             "eventAttendanceMode": "https://schema.org/OnlineEventAttendanceMode",
       ```
   
 * it causes the VirtualLocation to return an the object type error. Just wondered
   if anyone had similar issues. it makes sense this line be there if it is a virtualLocation.

 * I feel like that’s changed at some point, but yes – definitely a change I can
   make.
 * Constantly annoys me that Google’s structured data always requires a location,
   though.
