# Style.css not taking changes

 * I am trying to set up my own first custom theme. I am trying to change basic 
   formatting of the webpage. No change is visible on the website. whats happening?
   I am totally new to HTML.

 * Firstly this is a theme that I am creating for my own website. Secondly the websiye
   is not live. I am doing it on my system although I have go daddy hosting services.
   But I have not yet migrated my website on their servers.
 * One more doubt is their a possibility that I can first migrate my website (I 
   mean upload the word press back up of my site to godaddy) and then do editing
   from go daddy only. How will I do that ?
 * Please explain in detail.

 * That can be done, but I have never done that and some folks have difficulty with
   it. Do you already have content (pages, posts, etc.) in your database, and uploads
   in your wp-content folder? Depending upon what you already have, you might or
   might not need this:

 * I have a different host, but that is how I do things.

 * I use FileZilla and an SFTP conntection:

 * note: If/when you might set that up, ask them whether you can make an SFTP connection
   since FTP sends and receives your server login credentials in plain text.
