# Subdirectory multisite install.

 * Hello everyone,
    thanks for your help. After multisite installation using subdirectories,
   iam able to create different sites. But when i visit those sites,i get a error
   message as page not found? Please tell me what should i do now,as this is very
   urgent for my client and myself also.

 * Probably .htaccess wasn’t set up correctly. Did you check it against the examples
   in the codex?

 * Dear Ipstenu,
    I cannot find the .htaccess file anywhere in my WP folder. When
   i create one and add,i get error message as “internal server error” My hosting
   is IIS Windows hosting and i am doubtful whether we can install in windows hosting

 * Depends on which IIS. 6 needs you to modify web.config. 7 and apache can use .
   htaccess.
