• Hello,

    I just wanted to eliminate something here;

    I volunteer at a charity and started making them a test site using a sub domain that I created through the control panel for word press.

    I started making the new site whilst the old one was up and running nicely (started doing it last week and both the site and sub domain were working fine)

    Yesterday the main site went down. no one can get on the email accounts, the website wp-admin and the control panel.

    It shows the message ‘this site has been disabled please contact support’

    Now I don’t think it could be anything I did but I just wanted to check!

    Is it possible to cause this problem by creating a sub domain for a website on word press?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated as we have no idea why it has gone down!

    Thank you

    Lys

  • You would need to contact your web host on this issue. If you are unsure who that is, ask the folks who set up the main site. You can also check that here:

    Once you know which host to contact, you will need to provide the host account owner credentials to them for support.

    We are trying to contact them at the moment.

    I just wanted to make sure it couldn’t be anything to do with the sub domain I created.

    Basically I need to know if its my fault!

    We would not be able to ascertain that. We do not know what you really did or any errors that may have occurred or why the host made any decisions.

    Okay, I just didn’t know if it was even a possibility?

    I didn’t do much with it, just created the sub domain through the control panel word press section then started adding pages etc. that’s pretty much it, I didn’t touch anything else or even download any plugins.

    It just panicked me a tad in case it was something I had caused.
