# Subject character encoding

 * Hi,
 * I just spotted when sending out a message for an event that special characters
   such as apostrophes aren’t converted ie `’`is shown in its place. This is in 
   the email subject line when the data is being pulled from the event database 
   using a shortcode.
 * Let me know if you need any further info.

    Webb *edit* I can’t actually get this forum to display the text! “& #
   8 2 1 7 ; s” with spaces removed is what is displayed in the email
