# Submit Review Shortcode Causing Errors

 * Hello. I’m receiving errors when using the [submit-review] shortcode with Free
   version of Ultimate Reviews. Here’s a screen print: [http://prntscr.com/ncq71p](http://prntscr.com/ncq71p)
   The website is not live yet (an under construction page is currently in place),
   so you will not be able to see the affected page. Any idea what might be happening
   here? Thanks for your assistance.

 * Could you check if you have the debug mode enabled? You could try disabling the
   debug mode and see if the notices are still being displayed? You could follow
   this [article](https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG) to disable “WP_DEBUG” option.
 * Also, do you remember making any other changes to the plugin code? To restore
   all the changes you made, you could reinstall the plugin from WordPress and see
   if that fixes the problem, as it could happen that some new errors got introduced
   by the changes you made.
 * Also, as a test could you try adding the [submit-review] shortcode to a test 
   page and see if the error notices are still being displayed? What happens if 
   you disable the “WP_DEBUG” mode, does the notices still show up?

 * I’ve made no changes to Ultimate Review’s code other than adding some custom 
   CSS (enabling or disabling the custom CSS doesn’t appear to have any affect either
   way). Disabling debug mode removes the errors. When doing so, the submission 
   form also displays as normal. Unfortunately, using [submit-review] can cause 
   the Elementor editor to hang. I was hoping those error messages would help “debug”
   what the problem is. If it comes down to making a choice between the two plugins,
   I’ll have to keep Elementor and scratch Ultimate Reviews. Thanks.

 * The shortcode isn’t built or tested to display the actual review(s) inside Elementor.
   With that in mind, if it’s displaying correctly on the site, you can just leave
   it as is in Elementor or switch to the normal editor if the visualization hinders
   your site development.

 * The problem isn’t the ability to view the shortcode inside Elementor. Elementor
   hangs and won’t open which prohibits any editing of the page. To remedy this,
   I must disable the Ultimate Reviews plugin in order to edit the page with Elementor,
   then enable the plugin again to display the reviews and submit form.
