# Subscribe2 – Comment notification doesn't work

 * Hello!
 * The Subscribe2 Plugin for my WordPress Blog generally works perfectly, all Subscribers
   get notified when I write a new post.
 * But there is a problem: There is also the option to send notifications when users
   post a comment and set the checkbox in the comment form saying they want to receive
   following comments on the same post:
 * “Check here to Subscribe to notifications for new posts”
 * Unfortunately, this doesn’t work. Nothing happens when a user activates the checkbox
   when writing a comment. If it is a user which is not subscribed to receive notifications
   about new posts, his e-mail address does not appear then in any section of the“
   Subscribers” tab. When it is a user which is subscribed to my blog, of course
   the e-mail address is there already, but the user does not receive any e-mails
   on subsequent comments neither.
 * Is there something extra I have to consider? As the Subscribe2 plugin offers 
   this feature and it works very well for the general e-mail subscription exactly
   the way I want it to, I would really like to get it to work without having to
   change the subscribe plugin.
 * Any idea what could be wrong?

 * “Check here to Subscribe to notifications for new **posts**” – is to sign up 
   for notifications about new posts, not comments. For comment notifications you
   need another plugin, Subscribe2 is only for posts.

 * Is there any chance that this could be added as a feature? We’re using WordPress
   for a system status blog, and we use comments to provide updates after the initial
   post. What we’d like to do is provide follow-up emails when we post comments.

   It should be perfect for what you want. It even offers your users the possibility
   to follow comments without having to post a comment themselves.
