# Sudden Authentication Error

 * As of yesterday our customers have been receiving an error that reads: Authentication
   Error. Please double check your service configuration.
 * I have not been able to find much regarding that other than something on github
   that notes it is a response code specific to the WooCommerce SecureSubmit Gateway
   plugin.
 * At the moment our customers can add items to their cart and proceed to checkout
   after selecting a shipping method. However, after they enter in payment information
   and click submit the authentication error appears and no transaction can be made.
 * Thoughts? TIA!
