Well i now have set it to use the sku and it now works but i am not sure that I should do that
Even more is the fact that if a list these one at a time they work but as soon as I try to relist 2 or more they fail with the above error
Cheers
Sorry to come back on this but its like all my settings have disappered for whatever reason I dont know, but my templates were all ones from a month ago – weird
Anyway, my simple automotive stickers do not work anymore if I try to list in multiples, which to me is suggesting that its either profile related or advanced settings
I have some very complex t-shirt listings which have variations and these are working fine
For car parts and accessories what settings should i have for Enable MPN and ISBN fields and Missing Product Identifiers for items that do not have Manufacturer Part Numbers
As I said before, if I put in the SKU in the item specifics for Manufacturer Part Number, they list but I am not sure this is a good idea
Cheers
Hello albertramsbottom.
It is possible that eBay has changed some requirements for the categories you are listing to which would explain why this was not a problem before but is now. It could also have to do with what you explained regarding some of your settings that appear to have been removed/changed.
As far as I am aware, if you don’t have manufacturer part numbers, you could use the SKU for that field. You may want to double check with eBay if that is okay to do, but in regards to clearing that error (as you have experienced already) it will work and I have seen sellers use this method many times before.
You can try enabling the “Enable MPN and ISBN” so the MPN field is displayed for the variations. Then enable the “Missing Product Identifiers” setting which should have WP-Lister send “Does not apply” for MPN fields that are empty – this was added in version 2.0.9.18.
But the error above is in regards to the MPN item specific. If you have no MPN values, you should be able to simply enter “Does not apply” into the “MPN” field in the listing profile under the “Use Custom Value” column.
If you want us to test this, you will need to send in a ticket to us with login details and a sample SKU to examine for you.
Kind regards,
John
Using “Does not apply” in the profiles worked, i never had that in their before so it might be something ebay has changed
Regards to my other settings disappearing I have no idea
But thanks
