• I only have a relatively small list of members (552) and just sent out a newsletter only to have the website suspended as the hosting company has a limit set of 500 emails per hour. As this is a Pensioners’ Club it doesn’t have the budget for $115.99 a year to buy the, I assume you are calling the Pro license, so I am having to break the database into two list to keep under the 500 per hour. I’m guessing that all hosting services will have some sort of limit so it would be good if Mail Mint had a parameter that set how many emails could be sent in an hour and then managed a list of greater than that limit over a period of hours.

HI @nickdgreen , thank you for letting us know. We will look into the scope and see if this would be possible anytime soon.

We will let you know here on our findings. Thanks.

Just some observations. I needed to divide my contacts into two lists as my host provider has a limit of 300 emails per hour. The original list is only 550 contacts in total so I decided to break the list down alphabetically A-L and M-Z. In retrospect I should have divided the list externally in a spreadsheet then deleted all the contacts and then added them again as two lists. I did, however, rename the existing list as Members A-L then created a new list of Members M-Z then selected each contact in the M-Z range and added them to the M-Z list and removed them from the A-L list. In working through around 250 changes the plugin crashed over six times cause of a “lack of memory”.
When using the contact list and the search function. When the first page has loaded I am assuming the programme is still loading the database into memory because moving the cursor to the search box results in the cursor flicking between two states (finger and I bar on my PC). When you enter something in the search bar this flickering starts again and what you have entered does not appear until the search has almost completed. This is poor if you are pasting the value in the search but even worse when typing the information because you can’t see what you’ve typed.
With the flicking, you have a sort of feedback but a positive “loading” indication with a spinning icon would be preferable. As regards searching the application should accept and display the input before the search starts to give the user the opportunity to check they have input the data correctly and delete it or change it before the search begins. The same sort of “no information” happens when selecting which of the two lists you want to view. The drop-down shows the two list names with tick boxes you tick a box but the selection is actually shown until the application has found what is selected. This is just a poor user experience that leaves you in a continued state of did I click in the right place or did I enter the correct data?
The delay I experienced with the flickering curser was annoying but I got used to it. That is only with 500 contacts I expect it would be considerably more annoying if you had one or two thousand contacts.

    Hi @nickdgreen ,

Thank you for explaining everything and pointing out the confusion with flicking.

We’ll have a look and see if we can apply a fix pretty soon.

Meanwhile, you can add your suggestions and feature requests to the Ides section of our Roadmap here: https://getwpfunnels.com/mail-mint-public-roadmap/

    Regards,
