• Hello, I have been using this plugin for the past few weeks and came to the conclusion that a great improvement for its functionality would be to implement a dynamic filter system.

    Suggestion:
Create a dynamic filter system for car searches. When a user selects a filter (e.g., make, model, transmission), the available options for the next filters should update based on previous selections. This dynamic filter system should work for all filter fields, ensuring that each filter adjusts according to the choices made earlier.

    For example, given car details:

    • Make: Audi
    • Model: A6
    • Transmission: Automatic

If the user selects “Audi” as the make and “A6” as the model, the transmission filter should update to only show “Automatic” for the Audi A6, eliminating irrelevant options like manual transmission that are not available for this specific model.

This approach ensures users only see relevant options, improving the search experience and the accuracy of the results.

    Hi @shaezee,

Kindly note that the dynamic filter functionality is currently implemented in ‘Motors – Car Dealer, Classifieds & Listing’ plugin. For example, if you set one custom field as a parent taxonomy for second custom field, only the options regarding the parent will be displayed in child custom field according to the selection on parent. Here you can check the detailed documentation on the relationship between custom fields: manual.

If you have any other suggestions for the improvement, feel free to make a feature request on this board: Conflux

We receive so many daily requests. Since we have limited resources, if the request receives many votes from the clients, the status of the request goes to the priority and we consider the feature implementation based on the status.

    Best regards,
    Stephan Rodgers
