    Hey Dylan,

Great work so far on this plugin! I’d like to be able to duplicate quizzes, so that I can provide people (myself) with an option to do a quick quiz. Some of my quizzes are going to be like 150 questions long, and I’d like people to be able to only do 20 at a time – or something similar.

So instead of creating a whole new quiz and manually inputting all the questions and answers, I’d like to duplicate one of the quizzes and just have 20 questions randomly chosen from that one – while the main quiz still shows all questions

Alternatively, it would be nice to have shortcode options that allow you to make options available via shortcodes, rather than choosing the options in the quiz page.

Other than that, keep up the great work! Your UI is great to work with, and so far everything has been error free. If you have any suggestions in the mean time on how to duplicate a quiz, it would be much appreciated!

    Hi xtthew,
I’ll keep a real “duplicate” feature in mind for future versions, but there are some things already built in that you may find useful.

First, a single question can belong to multiple quizzes! When editing a question, select the Quizzes tab and select which quizzes the question belongs to. This can be done more quickly in bulk by selecting “delete questions” from the main HD Quiz page (it will take you to the custom post type page where you can add multiple questions to a quiz in bulk – just like adding posts to a category).

So for your use case, you can create a new quiz, set it up the way you want, then add whatever existing questions you want to it. This way you don’t need to recreate each individual question.

Second, there is a feature in HD Quiz called “Use Pool of Questions” (located at the bottom of the quiz settings page). What this will do is randomly grab X questions from the quiz each time the quiz is loaded. So if your quiz has 100 questions attached to it, but you set this option to 20, then each time the quiz is loaded, 20 random questions will be used.

Third, if your concern is just breaking up the quiz into more easily digestible bites, then you can use the Pagination option (found on the edit question page) on each 20th question. This will not create new quizzes, but will make the quiz visually easier to use and digest for larger quizzes.

    Thanks for the prompt response!

I saw the option to add the question to other quizzes.. I didn’t put two and two together though. Thanks for the tip! That should be all I need to accomplish what I’m trying to do!
