    but [The Events Calender plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-comments/)
   still shows a comments column in the events post list.

    Thanks for writing
   in,
 * We do have a specific setting to show or hide comments on events pages if that’s
   what you need to accomplish.
    You will find it in Events->Settings->General, 
   under the label “Show comments”
