 * As an interim (till AMP supports pages) I am considering creating posts of my
   most important pages. Will Google penalise this as duplicate content?

 * Why?
 * AMP primarily helps posts because those tend to get large number of views in
   short time, whereas your “about us” page does not.
 * Not a huge benefit for your “about us” page where you should already have a 90
   + score optimized for Page Speed Insights for a mobile friendly/responsive version
   of canonical page.
 * You should only have ONE version of each page. So presumably you could make a
   post of your info, if you NEED to do that — and then point the canonical at your
   original page.
 * But then you’d have 2 of the same page in SERPS. Which kind of defeats the purpose.
 * AMP doesn’t need to replace a normal mobile friendly “page” — unless it’s very
   high traffic; which is why it’s more a solution for publishing/blog/magzine “
   posts” vs “pages.”

 * Hello neotrope
    Because; AMP according to all the info I have read is first and
   foremost about giving mobile users a better (faster) experience. My view is –
   why not give the better experience to ALL web content which is what I am trying
   to do. Bet your (my) bottom $$ the time will come when google pushes for it anyway.
   Thanks for your response.
