• Hello,

the start page of this site has images in the header an footer which I can’t get converted to https.
I tried the search&replace plugin and is said it replaced five ocurences, but no luck.

The site was created 2017, but a few of the affected imges were replaced 2019.

I uploaded the same images with a “-2020” string appended, but it did not help.
I could only fix the logo in the footer, as the footer widget allows direct input of the image URL.

At the bottom of the thread I see a reference to the “SSL Insecure Content Fixer” plugin. Is this a good option? Ans experiences?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • You’ll need to use a db search replace plugin to fix this. The one I usually use is https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/better-search-replace/

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,

as I wrote, I used search&replace and it replaced five locations, but it was still http.

What helped was the “SSL Insecure Content Fixer”. When I set it to the “Capture” level, it fixed up the https deelivery of these images.

Yah, there are many search & replace plugins so without a link we have no clue which one you used. Chances are you are using a page builder and you need to change a ton of stuff manually. I would just run with SSL Insecure Content Fixer. Some hosts offer help with this providing an htaccess fix. Maybe contact your hosting provider and ask them for a force ssl fix that uses htaccess. Also, there are couple of know WP friendly hosts have a server side Force SSL option that allows you to get rid of that plugin.

    Hope this helps you further.
