Given the massive price hike for Duplicator Pro, and given that I don’t really need any of the Pro features, I’m trying to make the Lite version work. I deleted the Dup Pro plugin and reinstalled Duplicator in Lite mode. I then attempted to make a backup. I tried to download the archive and got an error. I’d like to attach a screenshot but I can’t figure out how to do that. The essence of the error is that the archive file wasn’t found.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @michaelmossey ,

I apologize that the Duplicator Pro pricing does not meet your current needs. Please be assured that I will do my best to assist you with Duplicator Lite.

The “archive not found” error is typically triggered when the backup archive is created with 0600 permissions. This is often a restriction imposed by the hosting environment. I recommend communicating with your server support team to help you resolve this issue.

Before contacting support, please use a file manager to navigate to the /wp-content/backups-dup-lite directory. Check the permissions of the archive file. If the permissions are not set to 0644, please reach out to your hosting support and ask them to address this.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks,

Note that Duplicator Pro worked fine. It’s only when I switched to Dup Lite that I’m getting this error. That doesn’t sound like a host problem. I wish I could upload a screenshot. The installer permissions are “-rw-r–r–” and the archive permissions are “-rw——-“

I checked the Dup Pro backup archive and all of those have -rw-r-r- permissions. So the problem is related to Dup Lite, unless maybe something about the host changed just when I switched from Pro to Lite.
