 * Am I right in thinking that if I use the signup form to let someone sign up to
   a synced list, it doesn’t create a corresponding WordPress user?
 * …and if I have my own signup form that creates a WordPress user, the Sendpress
   confirmation email doesn’t get sent when the subscriber appears on the list?

 * You are correct we don’t create user’s in WordPress. Synced lists are design 
   just to match WordPress roles.
 * This is correct currently. We have been working on adding a checkbox to the default
   WordPress sign up form for getting users on a list.
 * If you have any ideas or items you need to help with your setup we are happy 
   to add them to our dev cycle to help you out.
