# syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE

 * i keep getting an ERROR message when i go to install wordpress after uploading
   all files to my server.
 * the message is:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/….bunch of numbers….
   web/wp-config.php on line 62
 * xxxx
    i edited the wp-config.php as per the online instructions. line 62 happens
   to be the line about wp- prefixes, which i did not change at all.
 * any ideas how to fix this?

 * Try creating a fresh copy of wp-config.php. You have inadvertently removed, or
   added, something incorrectly.

 * Hi,
    I am having this same error, I have one blog successfully installed but 
   when I use exactly the same details in the wp-config.php for the second blog 
   and only change the name of the blog on the table prefix line I get this error–
   Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE ([http://www.doctemps.co.uk/wp-admin/install.php](http://www.doctemps.co.uk/wp-admin/install.php)).
   I am using 1and1 to host my blogs and only have a single MySQL database, do you
   know if there are any known issues with 1and1? Thanks Toni
