# Syntax Highlighting in WordPress HTML Editor?

 * Hi,
    I always hate working in the build-in wordpress HTML editor because it has
   no syntax highlighting and using a standalone editor and then copy/paste into
   the wordpress editor is time consuming.
 * Is there a plugin that adds syntax to the build-in editor?

 * Due to a lack of responses I assume it is just not possible. You can pimp everything
   in WordPress but why isn’t this possible?!

   should work. But if you do a search of the plugin directory using “syntax highlighting
   template editor” you’ll probably find a couple more.

 * I think the original post is asking about highlighting for the _post_ editor.
 * You may have more luck using [Greasemonkey](http://wiki.greasespot.net/Main_Page)
   user scripts, since there doesn’t seem to be a demand for a plugin like this.(
