# SyntaxHighlighter javascript cannot be loaded for MU

 * Basically, plugins with ‘files’ subdirectories will not work on (at least some)
   MU installations due to an htaccess RewriteRule. Since SyntaxHighlighter stores
   its javascript in a files subdirectory, it is broken. SyntaxHighlighter probably
   should store its javascript in a differently named subdirectory.

 * I filed a bug fix request for WordPress MU ([http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/ticket/639](http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/ticket/639)),
   and the RewriteRule problem actually will be fixed in the next release. In the
   meantime, the ticket shows how the issue can be fixed by modifying the local .
   htaccess file.
