 * Hi Tobias,
    I have looked in your FAQs and cannot find the solution to our problem.
   I have inserted many tables in our blogs before, and not had a problem with column
   width. But starting just this week, I cannot adjust the column width to stay
   where I drag it to, it always jumps to make the column wider or too narrow. I
   have tried controlling this through giving the table a fixed ‘PX’ width, but
   this doesn’t help. It is really frustrating because this problem never used to
   occur, it is only recently that it has started. We have the latest version of
   WP and we always update when new versions of plugins become available. This is
   urgent, because I always publish at 15h00 on a Friday, and I wasn’t anticipating
   this problem. It is just after 12h00 noon here in the UK. I hope you can explain
   what has happened…many thanks!! rgds, Glen.

 * Are you using a plugin to manage tables? Tables are not a core feature of the
   post editor.

 * Hi Steve, Sorry didn’t see your reply over the weekend. Yes, we are using TablePress
   to create and manage the tables. The strange thing is that I have run this website
   for at least 18 months and have not had a problem with tables up until about
   a week back. The table icon sits above the text and is part of the tool bar,
   so the integration is okay. Today I am busy uploading another table as part of
   a feature, and I am having problems once again with the column width. Many thanks
   for your help! Rgds, Glen.

 * I recommend asking at [https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/tablepress#new-post](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/tablepress#new-post)
   so the plugin’s / theme’s developers and support community can help you with
   this.
