How did you enter the players? Manually or with a CSV import?
Do you see the ‘ghosts’ in the admin panel? Can you delete them?
Are you on the current version of WordPress? (It really shouldn’t matter but I want to eliminate this variable as well.)

They were manually input and I do not see the ghosts in the admin panel at all. I am on the current version of wordpress 3.8.1.
IF you would like I can create you a user to allow you into the backend to see if it is something I had done wrong or what but as far as I can tell I cant find any ghosts in the backend.
Hummm, that’s a new one. If they don’t show on the backend, they aren’t in the database. I suggest you de-activate and delete the plugin entirely, then re-install. That should not change your database. (But you might want to back it up anyway. 🙂 )

Sorry I am late to get to this as I had a huge race weekend this previous weekend. I did just de-activate and delete the plugin then followed it up with a reinstall of the most current version on WP Plugins. I still have these “ghosts”.
Understand about the consulting agreement.
Marking as resolved as I have found the issue. The workstudy in charge of entering all the information for the website put the team members in but didnt fill in the bottom portion, the “player”, fields for those members. So they aren’t “ghosts” they just aren’t completely filled in properly.
