# Table width overwrites ‘Default’ container

 * Hi all.
 * I’ve set ‘Sitewide Content Width (%)’ to 65 in Neve settings.
 * Now, every time I create a new page, I select ‘Default’ in the ‘Container’ option
   and leave the ‘Custom Content Width (%)’ setting turned off. This creates a new
   page which respects the aforementioned parameter.
 * However, I’ve created a new page which contains a simple table, and there seems
   to be no way of making it “shrink” to consider the global parameters. Despite
   the fact that I do the same as mentioned before, every time I click ‘publish’,
   the ‘Custom Content Width (%)’ setting is automatically turned on and it goes
   to 100!!
 * What’s wrong? Could I fix this without getting into the code? (I’m a normie.)
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Ftable-width-overwrites-default-container%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi [@mrchoclo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mrchoclo/),
 * Thanks for choosing Neve!
 * I checked the page you provided, but I’m not sure I can spot the issue. Could
   you please provide us some screenshots where the issue can be seen?
 * Thanks!

 * Hi [@mrchoclo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mrchoclo/),
 * Thank you for sharing screenshots.
    Are you using some 3rd party plugin to create
   this table? Can you share the name of it?
 * I tried to create a table but the issue didn’t occur for me and on a post where
   table is added the default width of the container was still respected.
 * If you can also share screenshots of the dashboard where the table is added that
   would be also helpful. Thanks again!

 * Thanks for your response. I’m using no 3rd party plugin, just what appears to
   be he default table from WP.

 * I’m guessing that in order to get a similar behavior perhaps you should insert
   images in each row and create several of them or something (just like in the
   original page)?
 * Thanks a lot for your willing to help!

 * Hi [@mrchoclo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mrchoclo/)!
 * Just to confirm we’re trying to replicate the issue correctly, could you please
   provide us a screenshot with the section where you set the sitewide content width
   in Neve settings?
 * Thanks!

 * Hi [@mrchoclo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mrchoclo/),
   Sorry for the
   delay here, can you also provide a screenshot of how the table looks in the dashboard?
   I mean here – [https://imgur.com/wUGRO1T](https://imgur.com/wUGRO1T)How have
   you added images in every single cell of the table? What is the block you were
   using or have you used custom HTML for that?

 * Hey [@bvytis](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bvytis/), sorry for the even
   longer delay! (Something wrong with notifications).
 * Not sure of what you ask for. Is this screenshot ok?

 * As for every cell in the table, I just pasted the image with ctrl+c/v. No custom
   HTML or anything special.

 * Hi [@mrchoclo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mrchoclo/),
 * I’ve checked the page mentioned and noticed the container width is not 65% of
   800px as on the other pages of your website. I can see you are currently using
   the legacy skin of the theme, which won’t be maintained in the long term. Please
   follow the two steps(migrate header and change skin) in the following article
   to update the skin to Neve 3.0.

 * I hope this will help.
 * Regards,
   Stefan
