TablePress and SEO

    I am new to SEO and I’m trying to improve my site using Yoast SEO. My TablePress table includes images with appropriate SEO information, but this isn’t read, I assume, because of the short code. Any ideas on how to get the table contents recognized for SEO purposes. Thanks!

    Hi Ann,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    You are right in that SEO plugin can not pick up the content for further use, due to the Shortocode. This is a general drawback of Shortcodes and nothing that I can influence, I’m afraid.

    However, your table content and images, etc., will be in the final page just fine (TablePress prints everything out as regular HTML code), so that they will be picked up by search engines just fine.
