Hi, I have a webshop with the Blocksy theme. We have entered all products with exclusive VAT and then set them to be displayed with VAT included in the webshop. I live in Sweden, and the webshop operates in the Netherlands. I’m not sure when exactly, but I noticed that the product prices suddenly started showing exclusive VAT. I immediately checked all the settings, and everything was still set as it was from the day we started. I then deactivated several plugins, but the issue was not resolved. After many attempts, the price with VAT included was displayed correctly. Unfortunately, after a few hours, everything went wrong again. I’ve now discovered that when you add a product to the shopping cart, VAT is added, but when I go back to the product page, the correct price with VAT included is displayed. Unfortunately, after a few hours, it changes back to exclusive VAT again. I don’t know where to look for the issue anymore. thanks

Thank you for reaching out. That does sound like quite a bit to unpack.
Just to make sure I understand correctly—you’ve entered your product prices excluding VAT, but set them to display including VAT on the site. However, you’re noticing that prices are still being shown excluding VAT, is that right?
To help us look into this further, could you please share a full screenshot of your tax settings? You can find this under: WooCommerce > Settings > Tax
Make sure the entire settings page is visible so we can review all the relevant options.
Hi Moses, thank you for your quick response. I have indeed entered the products excluding VAT and then set it with the option to display including VAT.
To assist you further, could you please share the tax rate you have set on your site? You can find it by going to: WooCommerce → Settings → Tax → Standard Rates (or any other applicable tax rate section).
I’ve tested the same settings on my end, and everything is working as expected. This suggests that there may be a plugin or custom code on your site causing the issue.
Additionally, could you please share your System Status Report? You can find it under: WooCommerce → Status.
Hi, I’ve attached two more images with additional information. Whether I do this on an Apple computer or on Windows, it doesn’t make any difference. https://pastebin.com/w9U4YS1h
You are facing this issue because there are “Inconsistent tax” settings. I suggest you click the “Use recommended settings” button and check if that resolves the issue.
Additionally, if you have selected Calculate tax based on “Customer shipping address” then you cannot choose Display prices in the shop “Including tax”. Because at this point customer has not provided their Shipping Address which will cause problems. Same goes for “Display prices during cart and checkout” option.
Please update the Tax settings so the “Inconsistent tax settings” warning goes away.
I have set everything up, and when I add the product to the shopping cart, VAT is added. But I sell in the Netherlands, and for products, the price must always be shown including VAT. Showing the price excluding VAT is also allowed but not required. How can I make sure the price is shown including VAT?
From the screenshot you shared, I noticed that the “Calculate tax based on” option is currently set to Customer billing address. To assist you further, could you please change it to Shop base address and ensure your store location is set to Netherlands? You can set the store location by going to Woocommerece -> Settings -> General.
Also, I see that my colleague suggested clicking the “Recommended settings” button. This will configure the store to show prices excluding tax, based on your selection of “I will enter prices excluding tax.”
If you’ve already clicked that button, please double-check that the following tax settings are selected:
“I will enter prices excluding tax”
Display prices in the shop: Including tax
Display prices during cart and checkout: Including tax
Thank you for the update, I’m really glad to hear everything is working fine now!
