Technical Issue when publishing event?

    I have now gotten an error message from WordPress twice when publishing new events on the site. We use Modern Events Calendar Lite, and the error is only occurring when we publish events, not regular blog posts.

    Here are the first couple lines of the error message:
    “Howdy! Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email. In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Post SMTP.”

    The events look fine, there is nothing strange happening on the back end of the site. I am just concerned that this could suddenly cause more problems that are not obvious. Any suggestions (or even just telling me this is fine?) would be appreciated.

    Hi @abachechi3,

    That is strange. Please check you server error logs for some further information. It is probably some kind of plugin conflict.

    If you could share your Post SMTP diagnostics log too, that would be handy as it provides useful information about your environment.

    Hi Tim,

    We were actually just able to publish a new event today with no error message! It seemed to be related to the confirmation email it was sending to the admin email saying that the event was published. Since we disabled that it doesn’t have an issue. It must be a plugin conflict between the two, but since we don’t need those notifications it was an easy fix in my case.
