Technorati.com and Robots.txt

Hi,

I am in the process of claiming a blog at Technorati.com but constantly getting reminded by Technorati that ‘Our access is explicitly blocked by your robots.txt file. Please grant access to TechnoratiBot.’

I am currently using a Robots.txt file with the standard settings defined in the sample file found on this url http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Search_Engine_Optimization_for_Wordpress PLUS the entry below to explicitly allow the Technorati bot to have access to our blog:

User-agent: TechnoratiBot/8.1
Disallow:
Allow: /*

Can someone please help me in identifying the root cause and find a solution?
