I have created a child theme for my Hueman theme and now the warning message I received earlier that my template is missing has coming true. With the child theme activated I no longer have a template. If I remove the Hueman theme altogether and then reload it, will I loose data from my site? Is there a better way to load the template?

  • Hi mickeymouth. Activate the Hueman parent theme. Then delete your existing child theme. Then create a new child theme:
    1. In Theme Options click the Help tab in the upper righthand corner.
    2. One of the options in the list is to download a sample child theme. This downloads the theme zip file to your local computer.
    3. Install the new theme in your Admin panel by selecting Add New > Upload Theme > Choose File, then select the zip file you downloaded.
    4. Activate the child theme.
You’ll now have a pre-configured child theme with a style.css file and functions.php file to which you can add customizations.

Thank you so much. The template is there, but my menu is missing (I had it in the header and footer and both are gone)
