Test email not working

    When i try to send test email it’s showing error with the following messages –

    2017-11-14 18:41:49 Connection: opening to smtp.gmail.com:587, timeout=300, options=array ()
    2017-11-14 18:46:03 Connection failed. Error #2: stream_socket_client(): unable to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 (Network is unreachable) [/home5/sddreamh/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gmail-smtp/PHPMailer/class.smtp.php line 294]
    2017-11-14 18:46:03 SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Network is unreachable (101)

    WordPress version: 4.8.3
    WordPress multisite: No
    openssl: Available
    allow_url_fopen: Enabled
    stream_socket_client: Available
    fsockopen: Available
    cURL: Available
    cURL Version: 7.24.0, OpenSSL/1.0.0

    I tried both – ssl-465 and tsl-587

    I contacted bluehost support, they didn’t block ports 587 and 465

    @asif-ahmmad, It’s saying “Network is unreachable”. That means the plugin is not being able to connect to the remote SMTP server. This happens when the port in question is blocked.
