# Testing plugin on localhost – possible?

 * I have a local development environment on my Mac where I do all my dev work –
   [https://4x4tyres.localhost](https://4x4tyres.localhost) – should this plugin
   work OK in local dev environments? My issue is that my PayPal button is not displaying
   on the Cart page even though it’s switched on:

 * Button is appearing on the single product and the checkout page though, and I’m
   not seeing any errors in my console on the Cart either.

 * Apologies… ignore this question, I’ve found the reason! Some custom checks I 
   put in to detect country and obviouly country isn’t being detected on localhost!

    No worries, it’s
   still a valid question. The PayPal buttons are only served when certain checks
   were passed by PayPal (such as currency or country code), but in general, it 
   should work fine in a local development environment. Since you found the cause
   of the problem, I will go ahead and mark this as resolved, though. Please let

 * Hello,
 * I would like to find out if this plugin is really working on localhost.
 * I installed a fresh version of WordPress 5.8 and installed a woocommerce theme.
   
   When I try to set up the payment and choose Paypal, I get this notification:
 * PayPal Checkout is almost ready. To get started, connect your account.
 * When I click on the “connect your account” (your plugin gets activated), the 
   payment page reloads and nothing happens.
    There is no place to add the Paypal
   info, neither Sandbox or the Paypal.
 * Even if I Replace the text starting at s:26:”Pay with your credit card.” and 
   ending at “disable_funding”;a:0:{} with the following:

 * Yes, the plugin does work in local environments.
    Can you please share a copy
   of your system report with the latest plugin version active? As it is not related
