 * So I attempted setting up Give sometime back, and all seemed to work, and now
   back to testing months later, and in IE and Firefox, for test contributions we
   get ‘Error: You must login or register to complete your donation.’
 * I take it this means somewhere there’s a setting that you must have a (WordPress)
   account on our site. I don’t get the error message when I login using WordPress
   credentials. I can’t recall or find 1) is this a really good idea to require
   a login and 2) if it’s not really necessary for the casual donor, how do I turn
   the requirement off?
 * Also, there’s no error message in Chrome. The contribution goes right through(
   whether logged into WordPress site or not).
 * Thanks!

 * Err, never mind about Chrome. Same error message. Actually was still logged in.

 * HI there,
 * Thanks for coming back to test Give again. Go into edit that form and you’ll
   see a section called “Form Display Options” and one of the options there is “
   Disable Guest Donations”, make sure that is NOT checked and you’ll be all set.
   Additionally, below that option is the “Register/Login” option. Set that to “
   None” as well.
 * Donations do a lot of different kinds of work for different organizations. So
   while generally speaking most sites won’t want to have the login/register enabled,
   for some it’s vital. Generally though, the default for both of those options
   is to have them off completely.
 * Thanks!

 * I actually found the settings soon after I posted, but then didn’t find time
   yesterday to reply to my own post. As expected, I found “Disable Guest Donations”
   unchecked, as I remembered I had done but not where I had done it. The problem
   resolved when I disable the “Register/Login,” so apparently Register/Login overrides
   Guest Donations. Just out of curiosity, but not because I want it at this time,
   I would need to link to a login page or module to facilitate optional login for
   the end users, correct? And this is why the option for history based on email
   identifier alone was put in place?
 * Great plugin. Glad to see it developing. Thanks for your response!

 * Glad you got it worked out. Just to clarify, when you have “Disable Guest Donations”
   disabled, and “Register/Login” enabled, then you’ll see the Register/Login on
   the donation form but it will say “Optional”.
 * If you’re enjoying Give and appreciate our support, we’d love a kind review from

 * Yes, it did say optional next to the login, but it threw the login required error
   message except when logged in. I guess this could be a conflict with some other
   plugin or possibly a cache somewhere. It was not the behavior I expected from“
   optional.”
