I think there used to be an option to select text and image as well as two at the same time in general, but now there is no option to select text and image watermark at the same time?
Do I have to choose either text or image?

You can set both image and text watermark as two separate watermarks, and then use them for the same images.
There is not a possibility to set them both as a one watermark, but there is no point in doing that. While you’ll set both watermarks you can use the Apply all Watermarks button or set them both to Auto Watermark your images.
