New to WP and blogging generally.

I see how to change the width either in the GDE settings or at an individual post using HTML text, but doing so doesn’t seem to change the text column width. Rather, the window frame appears to widen, leaving lots of space around a relatively narrow column of text. When I change the width, is it supposed to increase the text column to match the width of the frame?

I would like the text to take up more of the window frame so the scrolling length isn’t so long.

  • Hi Bryan,

Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to WP. This is a great community.

I’m not completely sure I understand your issue, so correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds like you’re talking about the white space (like page margins) in your document when displayed in the GDE viewer area.

This can only be controlled marginally (no pun intended). It helps if your source document has as little margin as possible (down to and including zero), as the conversion via Google will add more whitespace around the document.

I might be able to make other more specific recommendations if I see an example of a document that you’re working with. Feel free to post the URL here or using the Support tab in GDE Settings if you’d like that feedback.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
