Hey Google Webstory Team, Since I Have Started Using This Plugin Since Last 5 Months I Have Often Seen a Bug While Creating a Story Whenever We Try to Edit Small Text We Can’t Able Edit the Text Easily (I Mean Text Cursor Is Easily Clickable & I Have Tested This Issue On Several Machine’s Like PC, Laptop & More. This Issue Can Lead Many Issues and At End, We Need to Zoom At 200% Even After this We Need to Increase the Text Size. Hoping It Will be Resolved With Next Update.

  • Hello @realmeupdates thanks for getting in touch. Could I just confirm that you are saying that when you are using the cursor to edit any text you have in a Web Story that the cursor does not select the place that you click on within that text box?

For example if you look at this GIF I am double clicking each text box but the cursor does not display where I am clicking.

Please confirm if this is the issue you are facing or if there is something else.

@realmeupdates I have created a new GitHub issue for the issue highlighted above which seems to have been introduced in the latest 1.15.1 version. Please feel free to follow this for updates.

If there are any other text editing issues you have spotted please do let us know I can can also check these and report to the team if necessary.

@realmeupdates Web Stories for WordPress has released version 1.17.0 of the plugin. The issue has been resolved in the newest version. If you haven’t already please update the plugin and confirm as well. We’ll mark the topic as resolved here but feel free to open a new support topic if you have further questions. Thank you.
