# Text Editor Toolbar Missing

 * Hey guys,
 * We’ve recently encountered a problem with our website. For some reason the toolbar
   in the text editor has vanished completely.
 * The area that use to display options such as Bold, Links, Image, Alignment etc
   has been replaced by an empty grey bar.
 * Does anyone know what I can do to fix the issue?

 * Try deleting your core WordPress files from your site including the wp-admin,
   wp-includes folders (but NOT the wp-content folder or it’s contents), as well
   as the other core WP files.
    [Download a fresh copy of WP](http://wordpress.org/download/)
   and upload the fresh files to your site, which will replace the files you just
   deleted. If that doesn’t work, try deactivating your plugins and reactivate them
   one by one until the problem comes back. The last plugin you activated before
   the problem came back is probably the cause of the issue. Finally, if all else
   fails, try activating the default WP theme to see if that causes the issue to
   go away.
