# Text field – Date validation

 * hi all,
 * I need to change the validation on the date option for text fields. Currently
   it is MM/DD/YYYY (US date format) i need to change it to DD/MM/YYYY (UK format).
 * Any ideas?

 * No, that’s managed through the jQuery Validation plugin. Which should allow all
   kinds of formats. [See the docs for more info on it](http://jqueryvalidation.org/date-method/).
