# Text header problems!

 * How is it possible to change the colour of the writing in the header? Ive tried
   the obvious but it wont let me as maybe its embedded? Also my home page has a
   pink bar/section at the top left of home page so how can i extend my picture 
   to cover this or to blend in somehow?? { [http://www.tendingmemories.com](http://www.tendingmemories.com)}
   
   please help!

 * Try editing color.css:
 *     ```
       #blogtitle, #blogtitle h1 a {
           color: #64468B;
       }
       ```
   
 * However, you really should make a [child theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes)
   for these customisations – otherwise you risk losing all of your customisations
   when you next update the theme..

 * I would’nt have a clue how to do that esmi as im new to all this?

   problems are putting me right off using wordpress now!
