i havent got the page up and running yet as im waiting to have it all finalised before posting the link, basically im starting a mens fashion shop and i have an image of a t shirt and when you hover over the image i want the word “T-Shirts” to basically pop up over the image.

There isn’t a built in option for this with products. Only with portfolio posts. You could edit the theme but that would require knowing a bit of code and we would also recommend using a child theme.

i dont want to have it hover over products, if you see the example webpage i put up it when you hover over the image it brings up the text down the bottom.

Basically this isn’t a built in option for the theme, So regardless of how you want it to look it will require that you do it with custom code or use a plugin, which if you don’t know css then it would be your best bet.
