# Text layers aren’t responsive

 * Greetings,
 * This website is currently being developed locally so I can’t provide a link.
 * The problem I am having is that the two text layers are not sizing proportionally
   to their screen size. See the images below for examples:
 * **Desktop looks fine:**

 * **Tablet background image adapts but not the text layers:**

 * **In the smartphone view, the size of the text layers prevents the background
   image from sizing properly:**

 * I haven’t been able to find any settings or documentation to address this. What
   am I doing wrong?

 * That’s the default behavior. The texts don’t change their size on smaller screens,
   to ensure that they remain legible even on the smallest screens.
 * It happens because of the Adaptive sizing which is enabled by default on the

   I don’t recommend turning the Adaptive sizing off. Instead, I suggest reducing
   the text sizes using the Font resizer, as you can see in the Responsive Settings
   video:

 * Thanks. That solved the problem for Tablet.
 * When I fixed the text layers on the smartphone view, the background did not resize
   proportionally. In the video, it seems to happen automatically. What am I missing?

 * Default layers increase the height of the slider if they need more space:

 * Based on your screenshot, you have another slide in the slider, “Slide2” which
   needs more space, so it increases the height of the whole slider:

 * Probably the same issue happens on “Slide2” as in this slide, so please make 
   sure to adjust the text sizes on every slide.
